JAPAN GUIDE
Rooted in the traditions of Japan—quietly passed down through a way of living in
harmony with nature—OGATA proposes a contemporary sahō, a way of being, for our time.
Across Japan, there are places that resonate deeply with this sensibility.
Through our JAPAN GUIDE, we introduce a selection of destinations and
experiences we hold close to heart—spaces that connect to the very sources of our inspiration.
You are warmly invited to discover them.
FEATURED LOCATION
yakumo saryo
Established in 2009, Yakumo Saryo is a cultural salon expressed through cuisine—an experience of contemporary Japan. With carefully selected seasonal ingredients, each dish is prepared with the refined craftsmanship of our artisans, allowing guests to encounter the richness of nature throughout the year.
The space also encompasses Baishinka, offering seasonal wagashi, a tea salon serving tea and confections,
and a gallery introducing handcrafted objects and vessels.
HIGASHIYA
Wagashi embodies a sensibility shaped by nature and an appreciation of the seasons.
At HIGASHIYA, this traditional Japanese aesthetic is gently reinterpreted for modern life, creating confections that carry both heritage and contemporaneity. With three locations—HIGASHIYA GINZA, HIGASHIYA man, and HIGASHIYA man Marunouchi—the brand continues to explore the evolving form of wagashi.
SABOE TOKYO
From a single tea leaf, diverse expressions emerge through different methods of cultivation and processing. SABOE TOKYO explores these layered possibilities, offering new perspectives on Japanese tea—inviting it into everyday life, with ease and quiet depth.
